Description
Cycle-R is a registered charity based in Cannock, Staffordshire whose purpose is fourfold: 1) Providing training, qualifications and work experience to long-term unemployed, economically inactive and youth with the aim of getting them closer to obtaining a job. This is achieved through the process of recycling donated bicycles and operating a cycle shop. 2) Providing high-quality, low-cost refurbished bicycles to low-income families and persons who may need them. 3) Encouraging cycling as a sport in and around Cannock, including the provision disabled cycles and maintenance of facilities for cycling. 4) Supporting the local ecology by recycling bicycles and related cycling items that would otherwise go to landfill.
