Disability Solutions West Midlands is a User Led Organisation, a Registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee. We became incorporated in 2010. We are a pan-disability organisation. We have been supporting and empowering people with disabilities for over 36 years. We provide a range of services included: (*)Information and Advice Line. This includes advice about benefits, social care services, independent living services, healthy services, housing, education, employment and carer support. It also includes tribunal support and representation where needed. (*)Personalised health budget support. (*)Assistive technology demonstration and advice, we have a range of aids and equipment for demonstration purposes. (*)Training provision including disability awareness, equality act and LGBT. We provide services across the whole of North Staffordshire (Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Staffordshire Moorlands), with additional telephone advice available over a much wider geographical area. Our service users are disabled people and people with life-limiting illness.
