Self Care

Self-care is recommended when you have a minor condition which doesn’t normally need medical care (from a doctor or nurse) or any treatment in order to get better.

Coughs and colds

You can often treat a cold without seeing a GP. You should begin to feel better in about a week or 2.

Sprains and strains

Sprains and strains are common injuries affecting the muscles and ligaments. Most can be treated at home.

Sore throat

Sore throats are very common and usually nothing to worry about. They normally get better by themselves within a week.

Sinusitis

Sinusitis is swelling of the sinuses, usually caused by an infection. It's common and usually clears up on its own within 2/3 weeks.

Earache

Earache and ear pain is common, particularly in young children. It can be painful, but is not usually a sign of any serious problems.          

Constipation

Constipation is common and it affects people of all ages. You can usually treat it at home with simple changes to your diet and lifestyle.
